Ford is breaking new ground with the all-electric 2022 F-150 Lightning pickup truck. Sure to deliver an unbeatable combination of efficiency, power, and technology, the F-150 Lightning brings the future of transportation closer than ever.
The F-150 Lightning boasts a pair of electric motors that deliver a whopping total of 563 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque. Early estimates put the truck’s towing max at 10,000 pounds and its hauling max at 2,000 pounds.
You won’t have to worry about running out of juice, as the F-150 Lightning comes with two battery options that give you either 230 or 300 miles of range, plus advanced technologies to help you optimize each trip. With about 40 minutes of charging, you can top up from 15 percent to 80 percent capacity.
The F-150 Lightning can use its batteries for more than just driving. Available Ford Intelligent Backup Power can act as a home generator if your electricity goes out, and Pro Power Onboard gives you 9.6 kilowatts of electricity to power work tools, camping gear, and more while you’re out and about.
You’ll also get tons of innovative features with your F-150 Lightning. The available BlueCruise hands-free driving system and 15-inch touch screen with SYNC® 4A infotainment are especially handy on the go. You can also add Onboard Scales to keep track of payload weight, and the built-in 14.1-cubic-foot front trunk gives you cargo space that gas models can’t.
We’re expecting the F-150 Lightning to go on sale next spring here at Brad Manning Ford in DeKalb, Illinois. Give us a call to get more details on this exciting new truck — and to reserve one of your own.
