Ford is introducing the all-new hybrid Maverick for 2022. This compact pickup truck is perfect for everyday chores, weekend getaways, and so much more.
Ford is breaking ground with the Maverick. It’s a standard hybrid pickup that is expected to get 40 mpg in city driving. But don’t let its small size fool you. The Maverick seats five comfortably and offers lots of space for storage.
The Maverick comes with the FLEXBED organization system, which includes a tailgate that can be opened in several different ways, dividers to customize the bed, 12 tie-downs, and four electrical outlets. Two 12-volt outlets are accessed from the cargo bed and two 110-volt outlets can be installed to provide power for lights, appliances, or charging devices.
The Latest Tech
The Maverick offers a full complement of Ford’s infotainment and safety technology including Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity and FordPass™ Connect services that let you turn your smartphone into a remote control. Ford Co-Pilot360™ driver confidence technology comes standard and includes collision avoidance features and driver alerts.
The small but mighty Maverick boasts a max payload capacity of 1,500 pounds and the optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost® gas engine has a tow rating of up to 4,000 pounds. In other words, the Maverick is Built Ford Tough® just like the brand’s bigger trucks. The 2022 Maverick is coming this fall to Brad Manning Ford in DeKalb, Illinois.
