What would it look like when the future of electric vehicles combines with a piece of automotive history? The Ford F-100 Eluminator concept truck that debuted at the SEMA Show in November is a solid answer.
Take the classic style of a vintage 1978 Ford F-100 and combine it with the propulsions system found in the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition. That’s what you get with this stunning concept designed by Ford Performance in collaboration with MLe Racecars.
The Ford F-100 Eluminator concept boasts a pair of the new electric crate motor of the same name. Each Eluminator e-crate motor puts out 281 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. In the dual-motor setup of the Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition and F-100 Eluminator, you get a total output of 480 horsepower and 634 lb-ft of near-instant torque, making both impressively quick off the line.
Eric Cin, Ford’s global director of vehicle personalization, accessories, and licensing, shows that the concept shows how Ford will support customizers looking to blend vintage chic with futuristic power.
Speaking of the future, the all-new Mustang Mach-E shows that it’s quite bright when it comes to Ford. To learn more about the Ford Mustang Mach-E and upcoming F-150 Lightning, contact the team at Brand Manning Ford in DeKalb, Illinois.
