Ford has received dual accolades from the North American Car, Utility, and Truck awards committee, where a 50-panel jury of automotive journalists recently recognized the 2022 Ford Maverick and 2022 Ford Bronco as the top options in a competitive field.
The Ford Maverick pickup brought home the 2022 North American Truck of the Year award, while the Ford Bronco received the 2022 North American Utility of the Year award.
Ford is “thrilled and honored” to receive both awards, said Kumar Galhotra, president of the automaker’s Americas and International Markets group. Galhotra also noted that the awards are “well-deserved recognition for the tremendous amount of work, focus and energy our teams have invested in designing, engineering and building exciting vehicles for our customers.”
The first standard full-hybrid pickup in the U.S., the 2022 Maverick stands out with its affordability, efficiency, and capability. With an EPA-estimated 42 mpg in the city*, seating for five, and nimble handling, the Maverick is touted by Ford as a truck made for people who never knew they needed a truck.
The 2022 Bronco wowed jurors with its ruggedness and technology while bringing back a legendary nameplate. With a modernized, classic design, the new Bronco passed the Ford Bronco Built Wild™ Extreme Testing measures to deliver on capability and durability for any off-road adventure.
